I have better things to do but........

Once upon a time ago I actually updated a sidebar on my blog with a note of what game I was playing, what recent movies I've watched, and what book I was reading. So I decided to make a list of my favorite tv shows, favorite movies, and some of the books I've read lately trying to keep myself from going crazy at my job that is fucking retarded right now (and why I like the tv/movie). We aren't going into how much I want to go ape shit on everybody at work though. Movies and Books=happy time, right?

For fun I also added some tv shows and movies that some of my friends like that I can't believe anybody watches!!

Interesting fact: I never watched tv until I lived with my best friend for 2 years. Now I am addicted to tv and own more than 1 TiVo because I watch too many shows. This gives evidence that friends are bad which I why I only choose to have a select few.

TV Shows:
CSI: NY
I like murder mysteries which is what CSI always is. It's usually not too much of a mystery for me though.

CSI (Las Vegas)
See above for reasoning....plus I like Sarah even though she's now gone (as of last weeks show) :(

American Idol
I have no idea why I like it but I think that it has something to do with the fact that I can't sing for shit. Also because I watch the tryout part which is funny and then once I see who makes it I always end up wanting to see who wins. Is all I have to say is, thank god for TiVo so I don't have to watch all the stupid stuff in between the singing. Never would have started watching this show if I didn't have a best friend. (or any other reality tv show for that matter)

House
I love Omar Epps but I also liked it better last year when all 3 were understudies. I probably like medical mysteries as much as murder mysteries.

Prison Break
Wentworth...shitty name but fucking hot.

Big Bang Theory
I think show appeals to my inner geek. I identify with the show WAY too much. It's kinda creepy.

How I Met Your Mother
I didn't think I'd stick through the show past last year, but I can't help to wonder the outcome of who Ted actually marries. The show will probably end without anybody finding out and I will be pissed.

Desperate Housewives
The show could do without Edie for sure, but I think I stick to the show because of Lynette and Bree moreso than anything else. Probably wouldn't have started watching this show if I didn't have a best friend.

Private Practice
Who wouldn't want to watch a show with Taye Diggs are you kidding me?

Grey's Anatomy
Probably wouldn't have started watching this show if I didn't have a best friend. I'm kind of stuck on it now though because I have to know if Derek and Grey end up together and blah blah blah. For reference, I don't think McSteamy is very hot.

Women's Murder Club
I love Angie Harmon to begin with but beyond that I love James Patterson books which is what this show is based off of. It's like a CSI/law and order type show with women calling the shots so it's much better of course.

Real World/Road Rules Challenge
I use to watch RW but never watched RR. I think I like the challenge though because it's like any other competion type reality show. And until I don't know the dude from RW anymore it will be good. (This season is the first RW I haven't seen in awhile). Again brought on by having a best friend.

Carpoolers
I have a think for Jerry Oconnell. I use to watch My Secret Identity as a kid (though nobody I know has ever heard of it) and between that and Stand By Me I've always liked him. The show is pretty funny but I think will probably get lame pretty soon. I've only seem 2 or 3 episodes so far.

Shows I can't believe my friends watch:
Dancing with the Stars
Ghost Hunters/TAPS or any of those "haunted" shows
Days of Our Lives
Passions
Any other daytime tv crap like that
Beauty and the Geek
Bachelor
Xfiles

Movies:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
I love Angelina Jolie. If I was Brad Pitt I would have done the same thing. Granted there wasn't much of a choice for her taking a step up when your last marriage was to Billy Bob Thornton.

The Rock
I will watch any movie about Alcatraz. I will also watch every movie with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage in it.

Any James Bond movie
Sean Connery was the best bond. One thing I don't like about any of them is that they are all hairy and I don't like the hairy thing much. I like Bond so much that I hate Austin Powers because it mocks my Bond.

Lord of the Rings
I hate Elijah Wood. ALOT. I actually didn't watch these for a long time because I hate him so much but after watching them, they rock. Provided you have no life for the 3 hours each of them take.

Star Wars
I don't even know what I love them, but I do. My favorite character is Jar Jar Binks. My friends dog moans and sounds like chewbacca somtimes. Thats interesting.

Back to the Future
Michael J. Fox is just awesome. I don't think there was a movie with him I didn't like. Everybody in those movies did a great job of acting.

The Usual Suspects
If you haven't seen this movie you should. Some people think it's boring but once the end hits it's crazy. Good good movie. See it.

Movies I can't believe some of my friends like:
The Wedding Singer
Harry Potter
American Pie (all of them)
Nacho Libre
Napoleon Dynamite

Books:
Any James Patterson book will do, but I've recently read Double Cross and I'm really excited for another one to come out (in Feb. just in time for my birthday).

I also read Karin Slaughter who writes similar to Patterson. If you like murder mysteries I suggest you try out both of these authors.
PS....if you're going to read Karin Slaughter make sure you aren't visiting around Atlanta at the time because reading a murder mystery about a city you're currently visiting is a little creepy.

Just Practicing

Just checking to see if this new thingy works so I can actually blog
from work.....

Wow does blogger suck

I finally find a way to blog from my phone but forbids me to set up the blogging via my phone. I couldn't be any more of a dork right now could I?

In other news around my life....my boss is a fucking moron. The General Manager of the Madison office got fired and now the acting GM wants to have a meeting with us supervisors to discuss the site manager where I am. The good news is the old GM was the bastard that fucked me out of the job I should have gotten.....the bad news is I liked him better than the the acting GM. I can't win....but at least I might have a different job in a few weeks. That'd be nice. $43,000 a year with fabulous health insurance......I only prey for that. Oh how I need health insurance.....
