Badgers Off Week

The Badgers were off this week so I was bored. Well not really. I moved some couches and played a shit ton of video games. Plus Guitar Hero 3 came out today so I played that a lot today. The Rockies are not doing too hot in the World Series so thats depressing. Other than that I've spent my weekend doing nothing. I have notta thing interesting to say really...go figure. Badgers start their WCHA play with Michigan Tech next Friday. Go Badgers!!

Why Do Dogs Have a Voicebox?

3. To let you know they need to go outside.
Why in the everyloving fuck doesn't my dog use it for that then? He just uses his 1 inch in diameter paw to stratch on the door which is all the way across the house and only does so when the TV is up, Video Games are being played, or I am sleeping therefore causing me to not hear the sound that is no more loud than a pin falling.

2. To alert you of potential harm.
Seriously now, the people walking down the road, the other dogs in the neighborhood that are doing their business in their own lawn, and the kids jumping on the trampoline next door are not immediate threats so shut the fuck up dog. Of course when you barked at the dumbass neighbor who put the trampoline up at 2AM, now that was a little strange...good job.

1. BECAUSE DOGS LIKE TO ANNOY THE FUCK OUT OF YOU WHEN YOU SLEEP.
Oh my mother fucking god. I swear to god that if the dog whines or barks one more time when I am attempting to sleep, I will kill him. Okay I won't because it's not my dog that does it, but fuck.

I love my dogs because when there are only my two dogs, they are great. Jase sleeps like 20 hours a day and the only problem I have with him is that he likes to eat things that are plastic (combs, xbox controllers, birth control cases) when I leave him alone. Not the best dog, but hey it could be worse. If you have ever seen the animated Tarzan movie, Jase is like the elephant where you touches the water with his toe and says, "Are you sure this waters sanitary?" If it's muddy he will stand at the door and pee out it because he doesn't like getting wet or dirty. Granted if Bailey is over and he goes and plays in the mud then Jase thinks that if he doesn't do it that Bailey will make fun of him. Then Bailey bodyslams Jase into the mud and he comes running in and sits next to or on top of me as if to say, "Ewww...get it off get it off." Anyways, he's a decent dog.

Basco will bark on occasion but usually only if the doorbell rings, somebody knocks, there are kids poking sticks at him through the fence, or my buddy Jonah is over. He doesn't like Jonah much. He doesn't like men, facial hair, or hats really, but he gets use to them after awhile. Jonah has been coming over for at least 3 years every Friday and/or Saturday to play video games and Basco barks the ENTIRE time Jonah is over. Anyways, other than Jonah, Basco doesn't really bark unless he should. BUT if Ty is over it's another story because Basco thinks that if Ty barks, he must see something so he'd better join in even though he has no clue what he's doing. Ty will bark at EVERYTHING. You breathe wrong, he barks. The dog barks at the wind. I just want to sleep for fucks sake dog.

Anyways, moral of the story is that having friends with dogs is cool, but it's like watching other peoples kids....sending the home is the BEST part. It makes you love your own even more.

Slacker

I'm a slacker I know. I've been doing shit and have had a bunch of interviews for new jobs and have been having a hell of a time at work because I am required to do 4 times as much as anybody else. Also I keep getting jipped on my paycheck which makes it feel so worthwhile to go to work, right? Anyways onto the non conference badger hockey talk....

This weekend was a great weekend for the Badgers, but you know, it wasn't like they played a good team. Friday night the penalties were killer. You're bound to let the other team score when you give them at least 5 chances to have a 5-3. I don't really know what to say about the games either night because as I say, the competition was terrible. How bad was it? Well it was so bad that they could barely skate down the ice with the puck on their stick. It was like watching the Mighty Mights between periods. Okay not that bad, but it was pretty bad. Saturday night the freshman recruit got the start and he did pretty good for a freshman. Kyle Turris is a very good player and I think with Davies and Street out there with him that the line is pretty solid and will do some damage this year. Also there doesn't seem to be much drop off in the lines and that should help. We'll see in 2 weeks when they open the WCHA play against Michigan Tech at the Kohl Center.

PS....I will update a shit ton more now that it's hockey season.

Heather

I have a neice, Heather. She's 12. I'm not sure I was as retarded as she is when I was 12. I was quiet and smart. She is the total opposite. The only thing we really have in common is that we like geeky things like video games and electronic gadgets. Anyways.....we are in the car going to get the disk for "The Sims: Open for Business" because they sold me the display case!! and Heather was spouting about some kid in her class that said this and then somebody says that and blah blah blah blah and then says, " I was like O-M-G that was so dumb" You know those commercials when the kids and gramma speak in text? Thats what it sounded like for a minute. People actually speak like that?!? That is just wrong. When did life turn into this place where you speak in text and IM language. I mean gees, I text and IM quite a bit but I don't think I've ever spoke in anything that came close to 'shorthand' in verbal form. Seriously, do people really talk like this or is it just 12 year old girls? If the work "like" comes out of her mouth before every sentence the next time I see her like I did last weekend, I might go crazy!
