Movie: Apocalypto

What is wrong with Mel Gibson? What happened to the dude who kicked some ass in Lethal Weapon? His sense of a good movie just went out the window I think. Apocalypto wasn't BAD it was just gross. I don't think I've seen so much gore before and I really like the Die Hard collection. I am looking forward to seeing Hannibal Rising still but am too afraid to watch it while I'm at work because I don't want to get scared and wet myself.
